One sunny day in the US Congress:

Hey since the price of oil is skyrocketing, middle-east in utter destruction, a crazy man in Venezuela and we just came off an insane Hurricane season that destroyed supply, how about we tell refineries that they need to phase out MTBE for Ethanol....and as a kicker give them only a couple months to do it, will that cause any problems?
