Just read about that, thank God. I never understood why people liked them. I went to an auto show to check out the H1 when they first got released. I got inside and was like "are you kidding me, feels like I'm in a school bus."

Does that mean that they are no longer selling them to the public? Or are they going to stop producing them all together even for the military. Because if they are discontinuing it what will the military be using next. Just curious to know.

It looks that by discontinuing the H1, AM General will be using the vacant production line capability to build more Humvees to fill the increasing the demand for the military transport version.

Interesting fact that I didn't know - The Governator (Arnold Schwartzenegger) was the first civilian owner of a Hummer H1.

I remember when he bought it along time ago. I think it said he had 3 or 4 of them. Its all he drove.

Good riddance...unless they are in olive drab, they just look like such dorkmobiles.
