What size engine is in your X?
 

Just wanted an idea of the most popular engine size on the x5world.

i have a 3.0 but i can predict riht now that most people have the 4.4

Most X5 sold in the U.S. is the 3.0i. Plus BMW made more X5 3.0i than the V8 counterparts...

4.4 here also. I agree with Kewl - I see way more 3.0s on the road than I do 4.4s. I rarely, if ever, see 4.6s or 4.8s

I have a 7.8L engine - say's so right under the hood.

Even though more 3.0s were made and sold, that stat probably won't be the case here in this forum.

What's a X5?? LOL... the stuff in my garage has 5.0l, 4.2l, .6l :)

Well if the washer fluid reservoir has a 7.8L engine, I can only imagine how big the main engine must be! :rofl: :thumbup: ;)

I bet most people on here will have the 4.4 because most people who join message board communities like this are automotive enthusiasts, and MOST enthusiasts would have the hopped up version of a given vehicle; hence, I think most people will have the 4.4 here, then the 3.0, then the 4.8, and then the 4.6.

i've noticed a difference between norcal and socal: norcal has WAAAAAAY more 3.0s but socal -- LA especially -- has WAAAAAAY more 4.4s and especially 4.6/.8s

My engine says 5.7L! Looks like I win, lol...
