Lost

Anyone a lost fan? See the season finale?

Took some twists that I did not expect. I've heard that in the end, this will all have a logical explanation. And it is a defined 5 year run.

Any theories?

Love that show! haven't seen the season finale yet...comes on in about 30 minutes. I'll get back to you once I see it.

I was a huge fan and regular viewer until I got caught up in this season of American Idol. First time in several years I've had my weeknights free to follow prime time TV and Lost "lost" me when the smoke came alive and didn't attack Mr. Echo:wtf:

Love the show!!! I'm totally hooked!!! What's up with that foot statue (only four toes  ) that Zaid and the korean couple discovered?? Do ya'll think that the "others" really let Micheal and Walt go??

Brad_p 05-25-2006 05:34 PM

I hope the producers will end the serie after three seasons.... too much is too much :) even with a good cast and story

PapX5 05-25-2006 05:41 PM

Yeah that foot was bizarre. From what I have read Michael will not be a regular next year so I am assuming he got away...although you never know with those writers...could change their minds and Michael could come back for Jack et al for a rescue attempt, if they need rescuing...

Finale was good but still left me with lost of unanswered questions which is kinda the point I guess but regradless...

1. If the whole bringing the plane down thing was caused by Desmond having a little system failure are we to believe that it was just an accident? What about all the flashbacks showing interconnections with all the losties? It is a small world but not that small! Further, if it was an accident how did Henry and the others have a list of the losties for example James Ford..aka Saywer?

2. Is the island invisible to the outside world? Near the end Henry states that once you leave you will never find your way back...

3.If Henry et al are the "Good Guys", Who are the bad guys?

Many more those are just a few...

Yea, it was confusing as hell, but nice, especially those scientist who find the island....

Explanation: Scientific Experiments gone bad

;) There are still experiments taking place by the Dharma Foundation; at least they are dropping food supply make sure the subjects are kept alive for observations:

1. Human Behavioral Experiments. They are (were) being watched and monitored. The others and others groups all believe they represent the good. I say this again someone is watching/experimenting with group behaviors. They are just f&*(ing with their brains. There are no evils. Perhaps they are trying to find out why and how the human astrocities such as the 2nd world war took place. Good and evil are just relative terms from each others point of view.

2. Biological/genetical Experiments. What were the mysterious scary creatures that attacked the people during the first years? There are animals not indigenous to the island. They are brought by the foundation, the reason the others tried to still the babies and the child of the survivors explains. They are important subjects.

3. The island has a geological significance. The presence of crazy electro-magnetic field and the special energies that cures every known incurable illness i.e. cancer, paraplegia, infertility, i.e. that’s why the elaborate experiment was staged on the premises.

4. Paranormal Experiments. They are possibilities; however, I don't think it was the case. I rather believe it was mere coincident that would make the show more interesting especially how everyone there is intermingled prior to the crash. There are signs and guidance by dead. I believe that they were somewhere between illusions and just interesting coincident. This part I don't think it would be ever explained. The show will end in the way that it would make the viewers wondering what happened. THEY ARE JUST GOOD STORIES.

Conclusion: The road to the haven is filled good intention. Did I say right?
Survivors are just caught in the well intended experiment gone badly. Will they survive? It is totally up to the writers and also depends on how long the show maintains the ratings.
I would welcome any pointers.

Anyone notice the hanso foundation commercials? Pretty cool.

Is the island invisible? New guess: bermuda triangle. Although I have heard that in the end, this will ALL have a completely logical explanation. And the next two seasons will be answering more questions than opening - 5 seasons in total.

Notice that Henry Gale (or whatever his name is - the leader of 'the others') came over in a boat. That leads me to believe they use another island (or at least another part of the island) as home. He stated 'he will be taking Michael's friends to his home' or something like that. Sayeid (sp?) is a couple miles away where they used to be. It looked like an elaborate hoax - so why?

Walt said 'they are not who they appear to be' - and Henry said: 'we got more than we bargained for when Walt joined them'. Huh?

I guess we will have to wait until the fall of the year.

Bermuda Triangle=> Atlantic Ocean
Oceanic Flight from Austrailia to America=>Pacific Ocean
They mentioned that it was not far from Fiji.
My 2 cents

True.

OK - try this one on - they are on the Island of Mu.

here is a hint: open Notepad, press and hold the ALT key, then type 4 8 15 16 23 42. release the ALT key then. You should see the Greek symbol for Mu. Google it and read up - sounds plausable.

Very good one, hehe...

PapX5 05-26-2006 07:04 PM

Mu is the name of a Lost Land, or hypothetical vanished continent, located in the Pacific Ocean but now, like Atlantis and Lemuria (with which it is sometimes identified), believed to have sunk beneath the waters.

Current knowledge of the mechanisms of plate tectonics rules out the possibility of a major continent having existed in the Pacific. Continental masses are composed of the lighter SiAl (silicon/aluminium) type rocks which literally float on the heavier SiMg (silicon/magnesium) rocks which constitute ocean bottoms. There is no evidence of SiAl rock in the Pacific basin.

Interesting..

I heard the show is supposed to last about 5 seasons and everything will unfold before the show ultimately ends.

It blows my mind how many loose ends there are in this series. Let's try and count:

1) What is the machine in the hatch for and why is it there?
2) Is the machine real?
3) Why did people first think there was a disease on the island?
4) Where is Russeau and is she pretending just like the "others?"
5) What do the numbers mean
6) Is the pearl hatch an experiment too?
7) What is the Dharma Initiative
8) Who are the others and what do they work for?
9) How did Desmond's chick know to look for a electromagnetic spike?
10) Where are walt and his dad going?
11) Are they going to really be rescued?
12) What's with the 4 toe statue
13) Where is Sajid?
14) Was the plane crash caused by the magnetic spike or not? (probably not since the others have such an extensive profile on them and seem to have a master plan)
15) Does Walt have magical powers?
16) How is Locke able to walk and how did Rose's cancer get cured?
17) Where in the hell are they? ( Bermuda triangle might not be out of the question b/c remember the pilots many episodes ago said they were thousands of miles off course...)
18) Why is Charlie pretending nothing happened?
19) What happened to Ecko and Desmond
20) Why does the timer have heiroglyphs?
21) Who was sent to observe from thr Pearl hatch, if anyone...
22) Who was the guy who rescued Raymond the 1st time around and how did he get there? And was Kazynsky or whatever his name was real? (the other guy that killed himself before Desmond came into the picture)
23) What's gonna happen to the group who was just captured?
24) So what exactly happened when the switch was triggered and is the machine still operating?
25) What was that bird creature and did it call Hurley's name out?
26) What were those big black clouds that would hunt people on the island from season 1

I guess the whole "they're all dead and stuck in limbo" theory is out of the question since outsiders just claimed to have spotted them
