Faithful To BMW?
I must say I was looking at the mercedes-benz "faithful" commercials and I got to thinking, who else Is Faithful to their BMW?
I may drive a Range Rover but I still have an X5 I remember the day I got her, the first moment in it, same with my 2005, I remember after the drunk driver hit my 2005 X5, I looked back at it from the curb and said "Thankyou" Because that car had saved my life in an accident I probably should have died in, so naturally when the time came for a new car, I looked no further then a Brand New Bmw X5 to carry me around and when someone asks me if I love my car, I really do, I remember watching my 325i drive away when its lease came up and remember all the amazing memories I had in it, all the fun driving and worry free years with it..... anyone else LOVE their car? |
I totally agree and feel the same way.

Absolutely...Im still very good friends with the guy I sold my e46 to, and everytime he comes by the house, I look the car up and down to make sure he's treating her right..lol...:bmw: forever!

I wish I could say the same for the guy who bought my 540i. I put a lot of money and work into that car, but along came this guy with an offer I couldn't refuse. Within a few months, he piles it into a back of a truck. He walks away without a scratch, but my former pride and joy was a complete writeoff. My 540i was the first V8 I had owned since the early 70's and I enjoyed the hell out of that car. But I also enjoyed the hell out of my techno-violet '97 M3 sedan which fortunately is still running strong with the owner to whom I sold it.

Definitely faithful to BMW. I switched over to a MBZ one time, and that thing drove like a boat, and have never deviated from BMW ever since

Having owned 14 BMW's in the past 10 years, I still have to honestly say NO. There are many manuafacturers out there that produce good products... competitive products and dare we say better products. I've also owned quite a few audi's, porsches, Mazdas, Toyotas, Acuras, Mitsu's and Honda's which I still enjoyed owning and driving.

Not biased towards brand.....that's my stand. And if BMW keeps on its current course, it may be time to go elsewhere. Not that my X3 is any problem, its just with the newer BMWs, I feel that BMW is ignoring its hardcore enthuasists and producing products that may be technologically ahead, but the cars themselves aren't that much "better" in terms of driving experience.
Someone else had a major run in with a drunk driver on bimmerfest in their 530xi. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=149545 |
except for the 996 and the Z! ;)
