OH OH LOOK OUT. Are we for real???

R8DX5 06-15-2006 09:57 AM

Very nice Juan. Congrats.

benathon 06-15-2006 09:59 AM

Ummm; steering wheel....

motordavid 06-15-2006 10:05 AM

Damn, Juan! :wow:

I wanna be rich & good looking like you, in my next life!

Is that in lieu of, or in addition to, one of your rides?

What's the "333" on the back bumper?

FineAzz Ride!

broknlgs24 06-15-2006 10:09 AM

that 333 is weird. i only see it in the one pic,
not the 1st pic.

drex 06-15-2006 10:27 AM

its the reflection of the parking space# on the rear bumper, LOL!

Michelle 06-15-2006 10:44 AM

Grrrrr....

Juanted 06-15-2006 11:01 AM

You just LOVE starting trouble, doncha?

OK, a little background. Drex was at the house last week for a couple days (pit stop on his way to St. Pete). So, I'm at work, and the dealership calls me to tell me about the car arriving. (I had "shown interest" in the car) :D I call Drex, who's at lunch with my son, and I say, "Hey, guess what..." Without missing a beat, and within a milisecond of my finishing the question, he says, "I'll meet you there."

We did not drive the car. It had JUST been pulled off the truck, and was not "driveable," (their words).

What a BEAUTIFUL car! I want one! The problem is, the CEO wants the upcoming (rumored) 3-series hardtop convertible, and well... "we must have a family car. We cannot both have a 'sports car'!" :tsk:

So... any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated. :D

Juan

cmyX6go 06-15-2006 11:49 AM

Love the GRIN. :D You should star in a BMW commercial!

LeMansX5 06-15-2006 11:56 AM

The smile the car has put on Juan's face is priceless.

Agreed! Excellent ride Juan! Congrats!

MD, it's a reflection from the pavement!

rayxi 06-15-2006 12:32 PM

The Z4 coupe looks amazing!
Juan's smile says "Ooooo yeah, just try and get my ass out of this car!"

On my wish list: Z4 M Coupe

PersonaNonGrata 06-15-2006 12:44 PM

 The coupé version actually makes the Z4 look good. The M Coupé will be even more drool worthy. That's what Juan should get. Mmmmmm.

Juan: They probably still have the shipping blocks in the suspension so you couldn't drive it that way. Either that or they sensed that you want to steal it. :p

blondboinsd 06-15-2006 12:47 PM

nice! I'm jealous!

AzNMpower32 06-15-2006 12:47 PM

I like the wood trim and color combo

I haven't seen any at my dealership yet, but that may be cuz I havent taken a good look.

X5Jay 06-15-2006 12:49 PM

Great looking car Juan, but I see that it has a steptronic transmission and I didn't see the "M" badge anywhere in the pics - are you sure that's the right one? ;) Great looking car - go for it!

AutoXer 06-15-2006 12:54 PM

Juan, don't worry about the CEO. Just Do It!!!!

X5Jay 06-15-2006 12:57 PM

BTW - that smile is priceless Juan!

YankeeBimmer 06-15-2006 01:08 PM

Very Nice Juan!

Juanted 06-15-2006 02:02 PM

1. I prefer the aluminum trim.
2. No steptronic for me. I want to change gears the old fashioned way.
3. No M, either. Too freaking expensive.
4. Saying "Just go for it, Juan" is not helping, guys. I need a plan, a strategy, a convincing reason (for my wife, not me) why I should get that car. Lacking that, I need bribe money. :D

Juan

BMWJO 06-15-2006 02:06 PM

love that car

Hoopie 06-15-2006 02:11 PM

OK Juan, are you ready for the reason? The one who earns the money gets to spend the money. I think is only fair. Everyone please be nice to me, just trying to help out a friend.

vinuneuro 06-15-2006 02:12 PM

Very nice Juan  . Any reason you're not looking at SMG instead of auto?

Juan

A Z4 for you and diamonds for Liz. Works (or used to ) for me.

Keith, there is only one problem with that. The CEO earns money as well...she works harder than I ever will, and as a matter of fact, she earns more money than I do. So, I can't use that reason.

Please refer to #2 on post #22. :)

Hoopie 06-15-2006 02:31 PM

Well Juan, I guess your really up the S*** creek. Just kidding, but good luck. With my post she will get what ever she wants.

ekaz 06-15-2006 02:35 PM

Order the car now and by the time that the car gets there we'll have thought of something to tell Liz.

Remember, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Roc3b 06-15-2006 02:36 PM

Juan....is that drool in the corner of your mouth?

Thunder22 06-15-2006 03:24 PM

It's always easier to beg forgiveness than ask for permission.

Get the car for cryin' out loud. You only live once and there are no do-overs.

Carry on.

SANguru 06-15-2006 03:50 PM

Didn't see that. I figured you wanted some degree of automation based on the pics, this is 10x better :) .

ljnlaw 06-15-2006 07:50 PM

Congrats...sweet ride, I'm sure its gonna eat the twisties up nice.

Juanted 06-16-2006 07:38 AM

Thanks, guys... but, let me once again point out that I have NOT -- I repeat, I have NOT bought that car. :saad: :damn: :bawling:

The CEO is, shall we say, "less than thrilled" with the idea... She's wonderful and very good to me, and she won't flat-out say "no"; Having said that, I would not want to do this unless I had full, complete buy-in from her. We'll see.

Juan

Imo, well said, Juan:thumbup:

asawadude 06-16-2006 08:49 AM

I can imagine Drex and Juan with the first X3 coupe off the trailer was like two kids in a candy store with the store clerk in the back room (made all the more obvious by Juan's Cheshire Cat grin).

Man, that rear window looks dinky - the glass is waaay bigger than the actual opening. Is it as miniscule as it looks? Does it make the car dark and claustrophobic?

There's no sunroof available on the coupe, right?

Other than the Bangle Butt being just a tad too tall, the rest of the car looks fantastic.

Juanted 06-16-2006 09:00 AM

Actually, the rear window is not dinky at all. And, I was very pleasantly surprised with the trunk space! :wow:

No, it's not claustrophobic at all, but I'm only 5' 11", so... I can imagine how someone who's 6' 2" or taller MAY lack some headroom.

Juan

ekaz 06-16-2006 09:21 AM

:stickpoke so, uh, when you picking it up?

Technomage 06-16-2006 01:11 PM

Omg Pimp! oh yea what make are your glasses i like those a lot

Well Juan, for starters, you could argument the following to the CEO:

- It's gonna take another year b4 the new 3-series HT cab hits the roads
- A Z4 Coupe is Much more of a Sports car than a 3-series Cab wil ever be. And probably a finer (and more fun) cruiser for getaway-weekends-for-2
- Print the photo of you and your fantastic green as you're sitting on the Z4 & hang it over her night dresser. Then argument daily about how much you guys will save on health insurance from your all new-and-improved lower cholesterol and blood-pressure-levels, all due to that fantastic green everytime you sit on the Z4..

just my 2cts-worth

rangerfan 06-16-2006 02:36 PM

Drove by the dealer in Greenwich this am. They had Juan's new ride in black sitting out front. Looks good! I was not a fan of the previous Z coupe, but this one is NICE! But it and smile every time you get into it Juan.:)

Thanks, by the way. :)
