Surgery Update

As requested by several people :)

Surgery went well, they removed 10lbs of fat from my upper body and they re-cut and stitched my abs together, unfortunately the recovering was nothing like I had imagined, the pain medicine (perkiset) I ended up being allergic to so It did nothing for the pain, I slept maybe 6 hours between Monday-Thursday and have eaten nothing since Monday because I have no appetite. On top of that that pain is so bad I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, it was just that horrible, I couldn't eat a cracker without getting bloated and I bloat constantly with the pain meds (I'm on darviset, vikoton and something else) My stomach would become so full it would be hard to take a deep breathe, all in all not fun! I'm still swollen up like a puffer fish, they removed my bandages Friday but left in my draining tubes I'm due to get out Wednesday (very excited about), Honestly I'm not sure I would get this procedure done again if I knew what was going to happen.

Well, hope it was worth it.

I just can't understand why people would put them through such pain with surgery unless it was needed and not wanted...

However, it's your decision and hope you get well soon.

I don't know what else to say, but I'm glad that you made it through. Still a tough road ahead though. Get well soon.

It will only be in retrospect, several weeks or months from now, that you will be able to somewhat objectively say if the pain and suffering was worth the results you got. Best of luck.

Good luck on the recovery..
