Getting nice things has nothing to do with being spoiled. You're spoiled if you get these things and you don't appreciate the sacrifices your parents have made to buy you these things. I know my parents have worked hard for for their money.. My dad grew up in a house with no heat and holes in the roof. He couldn't afford to go to college. He worked his ass off and he wants his kids to have the best. I know that, and I appreciate it. You can't make a statement like that about me without meeting me.

I agree with you actually.

However, you might have a gift tax issue. If nothing else, you parents are using up a good chunk of their lifetime gifting.;)

I agree curious Joel too, both my parents did not come from money and my dads an Immigrant here from Ireland so he just wants my brother and I to have everything he didn't.

CJ: good for her, but times are certainly different:

I got a hundred bucks, (big dough in 19 and 65),
and me and two buds climbed into a 55 chebby
loaded down like the freakin Beverly Hillbillies and
drove around 32 states and Mexico for the summer.

Beer, cheap whiskey, my first tequila, my first
'shine, first grass, first peyote, first visit to
the ladies of Ciudad Juarez, etc. What a trip.
Summer of '65...

I love telling ol'geezer stories about how it was.

Hope your friend keeps it between the fences.
