Beware, I'm stirring the pot big time with this one!

For starters I don't have a 'religion', I don't believe fully in any perception of why we are here and what the purpose was. I don't believe in a 'heaven' or 'hell' as it is preceived, but I do believe (as Rodney King said) we should try to all get a long, however.....what's up with this:

"Sixteen percent of respondents to the poll conducted for The Times newspaper and ITV News felt the July 7 bombers' cause -- although not their actions -- was just.

Thirteen percent said the bombers should be regarded as martyrs, and 7 percent felt suicide attacks on British civilians were justified in some circumstances."

Excuse me, a larger then tiny portion of the Muslim sect in the UK thinks it is fine to go around blowing up civilians if you're upset with the way things are going? 13% of these tools thought the bombers should be martyrs? Why, because they were cowards that hid among the masses to kill civilians, wow that is really hard to do.

I wonder if the immense poverty in most Muslim lands has something to do with this feeling that the only joy in life can come from a faith based death......

I don't know how 6th century barbarism (aka Islam) can coexist with 21st century tolerance. Islam has never had a "Martin Luther", who could redirect their sect toward peace and love. They are stuck in the mode of "kill all your enemies, and anyone who isn't one of us is an enemy".

You want to know what I think.

I am sick and tired with this you canot say this you can not do that attitude always having to be politically Correct.

Well you know what Pack these buggers up and send them home to their own land that's what I say..

Bingo!

A friend of mine used to date a Palistinean girl who grew up in the West Bank, and while she came from a somewhat middle-class family and was able to escape that area and come to the United States to attend school, she said that for 90%+ of the people there, there is no opportunity and life is pretty hopeless. Half of the people live in refugee camps, which is basically like living in a homeless shelter, except for your whole life. And the worst part is that they blame the West for all of their problems due to their support of Israel and their prior and current occupations of Arab/Muslim lands.

I don't see an end to this additude until one of two things happen:

1) Living conditions vastly improve for people in the Middle East

or

2) The Western countries pull out all of their military forces from the Middle East and stop their support for Israel.

Unfortunately, until that day this is going to continue. It's not an additude that can be defated by force. Using force just causes more people to feel this way.

Can one get priority seating for this thread?

One of my co-workers is Muslim and she showed me the book they read from and explained that they do not believe in killing like that so I don't really share your "genocide" of the Muslims opinion, sorry

Glad to know that based on one female Muslim's assurance to you, that the rest of us can rest easy, knowing that all the promises to kill the infidels is just cocktail talk.

ha ha I know, I think its like all religions thou, there are ALWAYS idiots that hide behind religion to use their brand of hate, every religion has them. I'm just saying with so much genocide in the world right now (Look at Africa) and so many other more pressing issues (AIDS etc) I just don't think any mass-hatred of a race is necessary, we have enough hate in the world as it is. Just my 2 cents :)

Except in every other religion, the extremist groups are denounced by the mainstream of that religion. You won't find a Christian church in the world that will say the Aryan Nation or other white supremecist group is truly following the teachings of Jesus.

Aren't you listening to all the Muslim clerics and national leaders who want to wipe Israel off the map? You haven't noticed the USA is called "the Great Satan" and should be destroyed? Wake up!

blondboinsd 07-05-2006 01:09 AM

I dunno, I just know I know someone I care about who is Muslim so I just don't agree with deporting all of them, thats all.
