Server Update / Threads Deleted??

Is it just me or have several threads just completely vanished into thin air??

I don't know what to say, so I will just go ahead and take off my mask for now...

for the longest time today, i've only seen 5 - 12 online users.
then, out of nowhere, i see we're up to 150+. so, something
is definitely up, but what it is, i have no idea.

I posted earlier today....it's now gone...

Also earlier today at around 3pm (GMT +1), I couldn't access the site.....instead I got a Zend Optimizer page come up....trying to get me to download a PHP optimizer.....

Server transfer? Maybe? We had 3 members online earlier and I don't know what happened.. . Somebody call MR. Wizard! :wow:

The entire site was transferred from the servers in CA to new servers in Texas. Some glitches may have occurred.

Drex sent out an email to all the members about this, and we had an announcement posted on the site. This upgrade should significantly improve the site's performance. Nonetheless, we apologize if this caused any problems.

Site is very slow for me, in the transition...it had been cooking the past couple of weeks.

Sorry folks for the loss of the threads from earlier this morning. As was mentioned above, this morning the files for X5world were transfered from our former dedicated server in California to a new dedicated server in Texas. Through this transition a snapshot of the database was taken and ftp'd to the new server. In hindsight we probably should have disabled the ability for people to continue to post to the old site at that time. Lesson learned.

Once again, we extend our apologies for anthing lost from this morning.

As my old 300 lb Afro-American supervisor,

He was actually referencing "our craftsmanship" in
The Pit, where motors were dropped in and mated up
to the engine mounts...often, by the end of our shift
we would skip using the completely non-ergonomic, giant
compressed air impact wrench arm gizmos and we would
jes' give the engine mount bolts a twist with our calloused fingers.

Sometimes the motors "rocked" a bit, on final hot start, at
the end of the line. :rofl:

The fooking UAW made us "join" their cult, but as
90 day wonders, most of us whom were departing at
summer's end, they simply collected dues from us
and hated our freakin guts.
