yes v. sad. It's too bad he didn't stick with Floyd as he was quite obviously a brilliant song writer/musician. Guess the LSD snapped him though. Nice that Floyd is doing tributes to him during the concerts as it was not an amicable parting.

Truly sad I have always been a huge Floyd fan, on another note supposedly the whole "Wish You Were Here" Album was written about Sid

I always thought that the split had more to do with the fact that he just couldn't perform due to the amount of acid he ingested. I've read that his former band mates made sure he got his royalties and that a few worked with him on his two solo albums " The Madcap laughs" and "Barrett".
