Firefox Problem

I hit alt + tab and I see a whole bunch of firefox windows that were closed. I open task manager and firefox is using 117mb! If i close a window the process doesn't end. Why?! Unless, I keep ending the process tree, it just keeps growing..

run noscripts and start blocking everything by default... only allow the sites you trust to run javascript.. no more popups or ads that way...

Common issue with Firefox 1.5.x, close out the process not the window and it will end.

yea, but i dont want to pull up task manager and close the process everytime, lol. is there a shortcut for ending processes?

It shouldn't stick every time. I have only had FireFox (which is my primary browser) stick when doing video or music.
