Thoughts on the M-B C-class?

I've been looking at the Mercedes C-class online.. What are your thoughts on it? I like the look of it, but is it anywhere near as good as an E90 330xi?

Its not a bad car I just HATE the yuppie C class people who drive them lol, their nice inside and decently powerful but there are WAY to many here in Cali and they just feel middle of the road to me, its no BMW thats for sure.

As opposed to the yuppie 3 series people who drive BMWs?

Personal perference, I've always been a BMW over Mercedes type person mainly from a standpoint of I felt BMW had a more sporty edge to it. Todays 3 and C are pretty much equal if you ask me. It's a matter of what you like better. Drive both instead of looking online and decide that way. They're both nice cars, but again, I tend to lean towards BMW.

the C350 is a very nice car. Chassis is a bit dated though but nevertheless, not bad.

Have you factored in Joel the disgusting reliability and no free maintenance either? The BMW comes out a clear value when you factor those things in, with a MB your almost guarenteed to have problems, everyone I know including us have had electrical hiccups.

It's the opposite around here. You can't take a drive anywhere and not see several 3-series and even more A4s. Seeing a C-class is a more rare event.. For instance, I've only seen three AMG C-classes the entire time I've lived in NH.. One old C43 (I think it is?), one C32 and one C55. I think I'm going to look at it, but.. I agree with all of you about BMWs being sportier. I'm more of a BMW person.

Then why would you want to buy a C class, its not like its cheaper AND there is a brand new one coming out in 2007.

I dont know, just to be different I guess. There is a reason everyone buys a 3-series though.. it's so good..

That is very true, why does everyone buy an X5 :P
