LOL..I really didnt know they were that bad! My sister has a 9-3 and she loves the thing...But after doing a little surfing about them, I guess they are pretty sucky...

My sister had a 9-5. It broke down so often that the dealer bought it back.

If I would have just kept my Lexus and not brought that 2001 X5 I would have saved about 12K last year....when I think about that I throw up in my mouth...I did 10,ooo miles while I had it so it was about $12 per mile not counting gas.

Well what do you expect. If BMW designed its vehicles to simply cruise their reliability would be a lot better.

BMW's are meant to be driven - hard. And they are. You can't push the envelope and expect amazing reliability.

However, the new-gen BMW's do hold a lot of promise... (in terms of reliability)
