Not sure if you're interested, but we went to Washington DC a few years back. The government is gone, so it's not crowded. There are a few ice rinks (novel for a Floridian). The museums are free, and are not very crowded. It was mostly pretty warm when we were there (40's - 50's), but the weather is a little unpredictable. We got 2 rooms at the George Washington Hotel for most of the time (like $120/night each). We also stayed at the Wilalrd a couple nights (our favorite Washington Hotel). They had carolers and hot cider each evening, which was cool. The National Christmas lighting was cool each evening.

It was a great trip.

DC is very nice around Christmastime:thumbup:

Agree about the weather- sometimes it will be in the 60s, sometimes mid 20s and snowing. Willard is an awesome hotel and right next door to the White House. Because of the weather, might not be what you're looking for.

If you are looking into someplace warm, check this site

Walking distance to some real nice restaurants too. My wife and I's 'date place', where we go for a weekend away from the kids.
