How does a car, much less a Ferrari, catch on fire? That boggles me.

No, story has it that they were on the drive with all the cars, and the 430 caught on fire. I don't think they are going to continue on with the program. Just imagine how much their insurance rate is going to shoot up now! Don't really know what happened, have to be a gas or oil leak of some sort.

What happened?

benathon 08-27-2006 01:07 PM

I hope the car was insured...

No worries that'll buff right out!

Sad to see a Ferrari burnt outta shape like tha...

I'd assume it's a relatively new one, so wouldn't Ferrari be responsible provided an oil/fuel leak..warranty and all?

Ferrari's have horrible reliability. Its common knowledge

Thunder22 08-27-2006 10:09 PM

It could have started out as electrical and spread... regardless, that's a mess.

SANguru 08-27-2006 10:59 PM

I would have to disagree with that. The issue is there are quite a few owner who do not drive the cars. Anything that sit for extended period of time will break. As evident through racing how often do you see shumacher F1 car break down or the prodrive 550/575 pit with problems?
