Complete Uninstalling Applications
 

Almost all the time, when I uninstall and application and reinstall it, all the preferences and problems are as they were. Is there a way to completely make a fresh install after already having had it?

Which OS are you asking about???

XP sp2

The application probably left behind some info in the registry.....run regedit and do a search in the registry for the application by name, also there is a folder on the C drive under Document and Settings called Application Data...check there for the applications name and delete it from there that should do it for you....
