Muslim jihad on Burger King
 

The fast-food chain, Burger King, is withdrawing its ice-cream cones after the lid of the dessert offended a Muslim.

The man claimed the design resembled the Arabic inscription for Allah, and branded it sacrilegious, threatening a "jihad".

The chain is being forced to spend thousands of pounds redesigning the lid with backing from The Muslim Council of Britain. It apologised and said: "The design simply represents a spinning ice-cream cone."

The offending lid was spotted in a branch in Park Royal last week by business development manager Rashad Akhtar, 27, of High Wycombe.

He was not satisfied by the decision to withdraw the cones and has called on Muslims to boycott Burger King. He said: "This is my jihad. How can you say it is a spinning swirl? If you spin it one way to the right you are offending Muslims."

A Muslim Council spokesman said: "We commend the sensitive and prompt action that Burger King has taken."

and i guess if you spin it right side up, it looks like a pile of dog poop too... as a dog owner, i'm offended!

and on those same lines, i guess the letter T should offend christians too.. i'm boycotting the whole alphabet now! jihad!!!

Burger King should have said "screw off". Or offered them a bacon biscuit as an apology, maybe.

So let me get this strait, we have jihad being waged over an ice cream container logos that when looked at sideways has a very slim resemblance to another language? And it might even spell something?

Is anyone surprised that many countries profile people to identify individuals that think in terms that are so irrational?

I'm offended that the Arabic inscription for Allah looks so much like an ice cream cone!

Being the politically incorrect individual I am, this winter I'm going to create a 200' cartoon picture of muhammed on the ice right in the middle of my 150 acre lake. Then, when the terrorists/muslims or whoever come to destroy it I'll pick em off with my .50 cal sniper rifle. How's that sound? It's my dream, I can make it as big as I want it!!!
