I have never heard of the Fantastic Fest and I lived in Austin for 10yrs until I moved back to Houston in 2002. Hope your movie does well. Let us know how your trip went.

bjo had a good list of places to get some BBQ- Salt Lick is about 20 miles outside of town, but it is pretty damn amazing. I'll add Stubbs' to the list of BBQ joints to visit and they schedule national music acts for live shows too. Stop by Threadgill's if you can and get a chicken fried steak and listen to some live tunes outdoors:thumbup:
