If it's "fueled" terrorism where has it done that? Have there been any more terrorist attacks after vs. before we went to war? Look at the chronology of world-wide terror attacks over the last 10 years and compare them before & after 9/11. We've had no attacks and have not lost a single life here in the U.S. since we started kicking ass in SWA. In my book that makes the entire effort well worthwhile!

I'm pretty sure the report said it fueled terrorism "around the world" and "in the middle east", and not specifically in the United States.

But I didn't read the report as it has not been declassified. Only an overview was leaked.

I know you may find this hard to believe, or it may seem that I am being very selective in when I do and don't believe what the government has to say, but I tend to believe any government reports that are classified.

If they are classified, then they were written not for the public, but for internal use, so there is no reason that they would contain propoganda. When the government writes reports for public consumption, like the 9/11 Commission Report, or the Warren Commission Report, then they have an agenda and those reports are very likely to be loaded with propoganda.

We have the best intelligence agencies in the world, by far. We spend more on intelligence than most countries spend on their entire military. A fly does not land in the middle of the Sahara desert without one of our intelligence agencies being aware. I'll trust what they have to say.

I'm sure if that report had been meant for the public, it would have said just the opposite of what it says. Already Negroponte is trying to backtrack and claim that the report issued by his own office is "wrong". He is full of crap.

As I said before, this report is probably very much like the "Pentagon Papers" report on Vietnam that was leaked in the early 1970s. Here was this huge reports, hundreds of pages long, written by the U.S. Military which said just the opposite of what all the politicians were saying for years. It told the truth about the Gulf of Tonkin incident, it told the reality of the South government having no support among the population of the South, and it told the truth about the war in general.

The politicians may be full of crap, but the intelligence agencies and the military do not bullshit themselves when they write internal reports. They tell it like it is.

:iagree: The reason that there has been an increase in attacks in other areas is because these were areas rampant with terrorist/extremist individuals and were simply turning a blind eye. When these areas were forced to either deal with their internal issue or be attacked, a greater number of attacks started.
