Rolling Stones at the Beacon Theater 10/29
Now that's a show I'd LOVE to see. Two problems;
1) I'll be at Westfest 2) I heard on the radio this morning tickets are going for $16,000.00 :wtf: It's supposed to be for Bill Clinton's birthday bash. NICE huh I guess Mick showed us what he was going to do when he was too old to rock and roll. |
i was told its $60,000, not $16,000. and its in honor of bill clinton's 60th birthday, proceeds go to his charity., and the show isnt all u get. heard the stones may add another show that is not also affiliated with clinton.

I was in Voo Doo Lounge tour in LA 13 years ago with a Japanese exchange student he was the only one who would come with me. :sad:
I was laughing because old timers were passing joints around during the concert. I assure you they were enhaling.:rofl: :rofl: |
That a lot of mod money.:rofl:

I remember Buddy Guy (one of my favorites) coming back out and playing guitar on one Stones song - I think it was Bitch if I remember correctly. Buddy Guy also played Red House in his set and was absolutely mesmerizing. Grey Davis was at the concert - he was booed for 3 minutes after his face appeared on the big screen monitor. The Stones were very good also - Mick had supposedly stopped drinking the year before. He looked and sounded better than in the previous concert. But do I really want to see a bunch of 60 year old men prancing around the stage? That old timer who was passing the joint around might have been me. In fact, I'm sure it was me. :D You should have asked for some. I share... |
