Well, you know... the 27th championship is always the hardest.

It's an old cliche but it IS true: great pitching will always beat great hitting. if the Yanks would only invest in a couple decent pitchers, they'd be unbeatable. Wang and Mussina were about the only pitchers who showed up this year.

Lesson here: Pitching, pitching, pitching.

you're 100% right about pitching, the ironic thing is that they did: Brown, Randy Johnson, Octavio Dotel, Carl Pavano, Jaret Wright... the list is pretty big. Unfortunately, they're all about as fragile as tissue paper.

I heard from somewhere that Joe Torre is out and Lue Pinella (?spelling?) is in

rumor for now.
