Negro League great Buck O'Neil, 94, dies
 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Buck O’Neil, the goodwill ambassador for the Negro Leagues who fell one vote shy of the Hall of Fame, died Friday night. He was 94. What a shame!!!:mad:

He was really a great guy. I always enjoyed seeing him interviewed or hearing him tell his old stories on many baseball documentaries. :)

Goes to show how stupid MLB and baseball writers are!!!! They should have elected the man into the Hall of Fame this year. Why wait till the man dies? Thats even if people vote him in. He was as classy as they come. Personally he should not have participated in MLB's dedication to the Negro League at Cooperstown, but he was more than thrilled to 'be a part of it'. Pretty obvious ignorance will live on.

I hope I make it to 94. Can you imagine the crap he had to go through in his lifetime? R.I.P. brother.
