had it hand-washed...
had it waxed...
had it vacuumed...
had it shampooed...
had it detalled from head to toes, including the leather...

"possible thunderstorms," they said...

it rained ALL F*&#ING night!!!

Now, I get to drive on wet roads to work today. I could shoot myself! :(

Don't you hate it when that happened? But did you not the forecast? Oh well, I'm sure your ride still looks smoking hot in the rain.

I use my 3rd car for those days when I do not want my baby to get dirty, but love taking my X on snow.

J: Ah Ha! So You are the cause of the fun deluge followed by 2" of snow last night and this am?!:D

That's Murphy's 2nd axiom at work. Hey, the grit and grime shouldn't stick much, on your wax job!
Have a good day in the Joint.

Yes, I did watch the forecast, but there are a couple of things at play here:

1. The forecast called for "possible" thunder storms. We get those here often, but they usually last 10 minutes, and the roads are dry within an hour. The car getting wet is one thing. My having to drive on wet roads and mud puddles -- now, THAT ticks me off when I've just had the thing detailed. Which brings me to number 2.

2. I usually wash the car myself -- by hand. About once every six months, though I take it to this "executive detail" place. They do an excellent job, and my X always looks show-room ready when I pick it up. They book up quickly, though. I tried getting an appointment for Friday, but it was not available, so I settled for yesterday. And, well... it was not supposed to rain ALL night long!!!

Anyway, I feel better now... :)

grrrr

Sorry Kaefer, I hate when that happens.

We had some serious wind during the storm this morning over in Matthews. Lots of debris and trash all over the 'hood but there does not appear to be any real damage... I hope.

Hang in there, summer is on the way!

Park in a garage at work if you can. Zymol Quick Detail (yep, the blue bottle from target or where ever) or Zano Z6, 2 or 3 microfiber towels, gently dry, quick detail... looks like you just washed it :D

There have been many times fellow coworkers and my boss have walked by while doing that... they were all  :tsk: and I was thinkin you just don't get it

And if it makes you feel any better, though it probably won't, I washed both the X5 and M3 Sunday night.

Yeah, I know... but still... very frustrating! Hey, are you in Matthews, NC? I'm Charlotte. Well, I work in Charlotte. I live in Tega Cay. Finally met a local on this board. MD is up in the mountains somewhere.

Well the X5 always looks sexy with those small beads of water that get on her after it gets wet. ;)
