Unexplainable
I just had a client call me and ask how to enter a lower-case number 1. :confused:When I asked her for clarification (to make sure she really did ask that), she explained that she wanted to use a lower-case number 1 and that she's done it before. BTW....it's proprietary software, no subsets allowed. So, I had to inform her that it is not possible at which point she told me that I didn't know what I was talking about and hung up on me.

What the hell? There are only upper and lower case letters for the alphabet (A-Z)... What the hell would a lower case one look like any way?
|
Bet she meant a subscript or superscript number. She just didn't know what the phrase 'lower case' meant. I have heard the same 'lower case' description of a footnote reference number.

So how do you write chemical equations?

Eric, so you're actually paying the $2500+ annual fee for the black card? - sorry for the thread hijack.... :bustingup

Superscript From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search AbCd A superscript is a number, figure, or symbol that appears above baseline, at the right or left of another symbol or text, with a baseline usually raised by around 50% to 65% of full letter height (ascent). The superscript text normally appears in reduced font size, usually between 58% and 67% (two thirds) of normal size. Superscripts are often used, with various meanings, in formulas, mathematical expressions, or descriptions of chemical compounds and isotopes. Superscripts can also be used to indicate the presence of a footnote in a document. Sometimes, ordinal endings for numbers are written as superscripts (1st, 2nd, 3rd rather than 1st, 2nd, 3rd). * In HTML and wikitext, superscript text is produced by putting it inside the tags and . |
