Ever notice all the big expensive parts go at the same time???
Throw-out bearing days, months, minutes from exploding. Result, replace clutch and change flywheel since it's all apart.
Springs coilbinding and struts nearing blowing point. Car rides like it's on rails and is stiffer than stiff since the suspension components don't want to move. Result, new suspension. Well, at least the engine and tranny are intact... knock on wood. Of course, if those ever went, it'd be time to take out a loan and drop an S54 (e46 M3 engine) or an S62? (e39 M5 engine). I wonder if a V10 7sp SMG would fit in an e36 engine bay  :genius: :loco: !ouch: |
That's why I try not to hold cars after they have used up the warranty. I had my 993 for 5 years and didn't have to put a penny into it.
Then last year, it needed $10K all in the same year. (Which does make some sense because they say it costs $2K a year to maintain a off warranty Pcar. So it averages out, but still a big hit.) Sorry for your pains, sounds like you've been having a bit of car trouble lately. |
