If anything is doomed to failure, it is the Microsoft Zune.
Why you may ask. John Dvorak - PC Magazine opinion.
Here's what tells me the Zune is a disaster (aside from its own incompatibilities with other Microsoft initiatives): the reviewer's kit itself. The reviewer's kit that contains a cover document that will do nothing more than anger and insult reviewers. There's a surefire way to get attention!http://news.yahoo.com/s/zd/20061114/tc_zd/194006 Meanwhile back at the ranch: iPods to integrate with in-flight entertainment. http://news.yahoo.com/s/macworld/200...otic20061114_1 |
Ehh I hate Microsoft everything anyways LOL

I actually don't see a problem with Microsft trying to 'protect' it's product. The language in the kit does seem a bit outdated but not too different that Sony's PS3 review kit or Bose LS58 test ket.
Considering the Microsoft's recent past, I'm actually surprised there wasn't a lot more. No, I'm not a Microsoft fan (nor hater), but imo it only makes since to protect themselves. |
I don't think anyone is argueing about their right to protect themselves. It apparently goes a bit deeper than that. This reviewer says "Microsoft should simply turn over all its marketing to the Xbox 360 folks—at least some of the people in that group have marketing skills." It appears that their approach kinda bites the hand that speads the word about their product. One interesting perspective to consider. :)
