Out-of-state speeding ticket Question
Do the out-of-state(NY) speeding tickets count for the points on your license in your residence state(CT)?
|
To be honest, I have no idea! But I THINK they do. I'm guessing, but I think it would because a ticket is a ticket...
As a side note, I've only been pulled over twice... Once in the X5 two days before Christmas... 52 in a 40 that I thought was a 50. I got a written warning. I also got pulled over once in the 330xi about a month ago because I was 'enjoying' a corner, and a cop happened to be coming the other way :yikes: ... Luckily it was right here in my home town and the cop knew me and my dad (I used to be friends with his daughter) so he just told me to slow down. |

I've had plenty of tickets in my earlier days from Mass, and NY, and as long as you pay the fines, they won't put them on your record.

Thanks guys.

1 bit of clarification here:
all 50 states now have access to a DUI conviction database that is keyed on your SS# so while points will not hit your license from a non-reciprocal state, every state MV office can find out if you've been convicted of DUI... |
