Very beautiful pics. Reminds me of my under the sea trip in the sub at Maui.

Nice pics! I enjoy diving... I almost got my divers license a few years ago, but then I missed the last class and I somehow never wound up getting it. I love diving, though. It's so relaxing! I have some pics around here somewhere.. I'll try to find them. My brother is a scuba fanatic. Once a year he goes on the Agressor Fleet to go diving. Three years ago he went to the Cayman Islands, he went again the next year, last year he went all the way to Palau, and this summer he's off to Kona, Hawaii, for two weeks.

Chip, nice pics, esp the anenomes, octo and scorpion fish.
Cozumel I see by the pic data. A few trips there: some of the longest viz I've seen.

I gotta scan my batch of "really good stuff" and get it up here.
We got a digicam last yr, but haven't been diving w/it, yet; have albums of old Nikonos stuff. bR,md

I just bought a new Sony camcorder and I want to get a housing for it. My friend on this last trip shot video on our dive and I would really like to start doing that. There is just something about video that you can't capture with a still camera.

There seems to be a fair amount of divers here, we should do a X5World dive trip!

Chip, count me in for the dive trip!
I was MIA in Grand Turks, Provo, Caicos, Belize, South Africa, Mozambique.
Have used the Peter Hughes fleet extensively. I can really recommend these live-a-boards.............. good people, excellent diving.

SG: You fishmonger, you!

My vote is for Spotted Scorpionfish, (Scorpaena plumieri), as it was taken in Caribbean/Cozumel...I think Tassled is only Indo-Pacific, but WTFDIK?! :D

LOL  Possible, the telltale for a spotted would be the 3 dark bands on the tail ;)

That thing looks kind of pissed off SG.....I wouldn't be messing with it. I bet Doc would try and handle it though    :D

I'm surprised Chip was holding one. Their dorsal fin is quite venemous. You don't want to step on one for sure ;)

chipx5 06-05-2005 07:28 PM

I was NOT holding it! It was our fearless "not too bright" divemaster. :yikes:

Beautiful pics. One of my neighbors is an avid diver and (if I have the terminology correct) a dive master(?). He actually teaches, and he keeps asking me to come to his classes and get certified. I am thinkin about taking him up on it.
