Agreement between German auto makers?
 

I was reading the Motor Trend article and the M6 and it said "Top speed, per the agreement between German makers, is electronically limited to 155mph." When did that happen, why did it happen? I think it's dumb... It's the first I've heard of this, but I guess it answers my question about why cars were always limited to 155.
