general summary: communism doesn't work in large societies and war is bad and because war is bad the US is bad for being in a war therefore because the US is bad for being in a war the US has ill intentions in ALL international relations

Thank you for that wonderful summary. :nanana:

Now that it is agreed, we can end this sorry debate.

I don't really see what is sorry about the debate it was quite fun...once a point was proven you just took up another subject I found it quite entertaining

I'm sure this isn't the last we've seen of this.

I'm sure my friend, Wagner, will be back to stir the pot on this or another thread.

Well, you can't have it both ways. Either they are wasting their money, or they are getting results. Which one is it?

You are the one saying that they are the ones driving us to war. I say that they aren't. That's the premise that I reject. I didn't say they aren't getting any results. You make vague statements, and then attempt to put words in my mouth. Nice try. Typical debating tactic from those with your view of the world.

You should check out the current news more often instead of doing Google cut & paste jobs.

Hell, this is from at least two days ago.

It seems like everyday the news get worse?

Spoon + Pot

There is no need to bring this up we have daily debates in regards to the political and military outcomes and shortfalls in Iraq

Its been so quiet that I thought I bring this tread back.

The English are pulling out troops, guess they know something we don't?

The Brits had some 40,000+ soldiers in 2003 since then they have got it down to around 7,000 in Basra....now they will get it down to around 5,000. If anything, they have done what they said they would do (get in and leave).

Too bad Bush doesn't have a son that would have to be deployed to Baghdad...bet we wouldn't hear about troop increases then.

I have heard a different person every day say "as soon as the US leaves, Iraq will be taken down." So my only question is, why don't we sit down an chat with Iran since they will be the ones taking over Iraq.....

I think you are making the case for the US staying, we don't want it taken over by anyone else.
