Wee, wee, Wii
 

I finally got my hands on a Wii tonight. Check your local Costco if you've been searching for one. My local one, the 500th Costco in the world, had about 48 of them this morning. They're bundled with the basic system and two games: Zelda and some truck racing game, neither of which I wanted but hey, it's a bundle. The price is $339. It amounts to the full price of every piece in the bundle so no deal to be had but if you want a Wii....

Rumor has it that Best (Worst) Buy and Target will be getting a whackload of them this weekend to go on sale on Sunday as to be advertised in their Sunday circular.

the new zelda is worth the price of the wii alone in my opinion. i have all three of the "next gen" systems and i love the xbox360 and ps3 for graphics, etc. but the wii really delivers a new and innovative gaming concept. if i had to choose one system to get frist it'd be the wii.

Cool. That's good to hear. I'm totally unfamiliar with the modern Zelda games so I might just wind up loving it. I've actually been totally out of the gaming console scene since the original PS, which I have and broke out recently to play only to shake my head at how ancient it is. I've been and still am a PC gamer having logged obscene hours on Call of Duty 2 and Medal of Honor. :tsk:

I did skip all other consoles and waited for a Wii. There are plenty of PS3 60's available now and xBox 360 has been stockpiled all over the place but the Wii was what I wanted. The only game I really want to try/buy is COD 3 since they don't make that for the PC platform and there are no plans either.

Zelda won the Gametrailers 2006 Game of the year!

Please tell me you didn't go "wii, wii, wii" all the way home!

I also got my wii bundle from costco the first day it released. At first, I didn't think i was going to play zelda. For some reason, the game controlled my will after few hours of play and I can't help to continue the journal. Be warned and enjoy. :D

The news is that Nintendo held the inventory back and releasing them this Sunday as a marketing ploy! So there should be plenty of opportunities come Sunday. Congrats Kevin, give us a review in a few days if you can tear yourself away from it :)

haha.. you missed out last time when you left early... The sports games are worth the price! especially the boxing game!

Congrats on the Wii. I played the Wii & PS3 during my vacation last month. However, be careful of your left shoulder.

BTW, your "relatives" told me about the new Costco in your area and we checked it out last month and it is awesome!! Anyhow, did check out the La Quinta Resort & Club last month and it was all decked out with nice Holiday Decorations!

I think you were in Canada or somewhere else at that time.
