Why is there such a limited list of Bluetooth phones?
I just checked the BMW website. There are only 7 Cingular phones that are compatible, and the Samsung I have is not on the list. What a pain. I'll have to get a new phone.

In general you will find that all motorolas, most sony ericssons, all blackberrys, and some windows mobile & palm phones work....samsungs and LG do not

I know, very disappointing. The new SE phone I bought works great with my parrot kit, but not the X5. I wish that BMW OEM Parrot . Allows the firmware to be updated as the technology and phones change. Toyota, Ferrari, Alfa and others are OEMing Parrot.

That is a list of "tested" phones -- phones they KNOW for sure work with the BMW bluetooth setup. My blackberry is not listed, yet it works flawlessly. As Laura mentioned, in general, most Motorolas work well. Samsung phone suck, anyway... :)
