I turn the news off when I hear of IRAQ. It is just too depressing these days.

Sounds like they were attacking soldiers, not civilians. A surprise attack yes, but not terrorism.

Iraqi soldiers are useless, always have been. US forces marched through them twice in under 15 years. No big shock to me that they can't do anything now. I guess the people were completely demoralized following the Iraq/Iran war.

I'm not to fond of the "Split Baghdad into 9 security zones with an Iraqi leader for each zone discussing where US troops go". Which is the new plan. Iraq doesn't have an army, even the disbanded one was terrible. The US should open talks with Iran and figure out how to get Iran on our side and allow them a major role in guiding Iraq.

There is not much that would need to be "figured out". Iran has already offered to help, but their offers have been ignored.

That may be because they established a Anti-US group and want Israel off the planet :dunno:

Nah...that's not it.

It's so that the Bush Administration can save face. Just like the way they turned down Cuba's offer to send two thousand doctors to New Orleans after Katrina. They would have saved lives, but it would have made Cuba look good, and we cannot have that. :confused:
