Help with car tires...

Ok, so my brother insists on keeping his 130k mile old Dodge Caravan. I was just driving it for a while and I noticed no tire grip. When we got out, I checked and saw the tires were dead. He says he wants to go to Costco and get tires for 400 there. I said no. Since I don't know what kind of tires are best, I am asking you... It is a van :( , FWD, and he lives in Pennsylvania. So, there is some snow,, but not really anymore. He want good tires that are all season tires for under $1000. Thanks for the help!!

dude.. you can get any M+S tired for the van and it will cost you no more than $60 a piece. there is no such thing as "great" tires for a minivan but he's free to give me $1000 and I'll find him the tires.. LOL

Go to tirerack.com and pick any of the major brands.

If the Fuzion HRi fits get them. I got them on my CRX and I really like them wet or dry, for about $180 shipped (for four). I'm kind of a tire snob, but for the price they're amazing.

Fully agree with SAN. $1000 for tires, you're kidding right??

Given the high-performance nature of that Mopar, I think he needs at least two sets of tires - perhaps a set of 20" Diamaris for summer and maybe a set of 13" General studded snow tires for winter. I think it'll cost him $2000!!!
