Question for you young folks "Where Is This World Heading"?

What Will the Future Bring?

WHAT will the next 10, 20, or 30 years bring? It can be frightening to contemplate the future in this age of terrorism. Technology is booming. Globalization has made many nations interdependent. Will world leaders unite and pave the way for a brighter tomorrow? Some people say yes, hoping that by the year 2015, leaders will be able to stem the tide of poverty and hunger, reverse the spread of AIDS and halve the proportion of those without access to safe drinking water and sanitation. What do you think??

Oh I forgot to add the moral direction as well.

with the advances in stem cell research and nanotechnology it is surmised within the next ten to twenty years we will be able to decide how long we want to live, based on genetic modification, nano implants to make our blood more efficient, allow us to run faster and stay in better shape more easilly...the future within the realm of the human body will be amazing and I truly lookforward to it...although it has also been proven that almost everything man creates he weaponizes and a nano plauge could be a world ending preposition...interesting things to ponder but I feel the future will be interesting without a doubt

What a grand subject! I thnk the future will bring more of ... the same. How about that for an anticlimax? Following is a pile of steamy rhetorical nonsense - ignore at your own discretion.

Seriously - not that much change in a life time since deep down the human race is pretty conservative. Sure - the weather will be different, and technology will advance as fast as ever - but in aplication we will not do anything extraordinary with it. Life expectancy will go up, and need for manual labor will go down. Morally there will still be haves and have-nots in the world, and the haves will throw the have-nots a bone every now and again. Self preservation will still rule supreme :)

In order for the future to change dramatically something truly cataclysmic would have to happen, and I doubt any of us would want that. Either that or something extra terrestial would have to take our role as the superpredator of this planet - but all that is, is just me having watched to many movies :) Anywho - a young bloke's take on the future - there you have it.
