Interesting Email That I Received

WOW ........ Is this laying it on the line or what?

The lady who wrote this letter is Pam Foster of Pamela Foster and Associates in Atlanta . She's been in business since 1980 doing interior design and home planning. She recently wrote a letter to a family member serving in Iraq . Read it!

"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001 ?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?

Well, I don't I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia .

I'll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank that I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and ---- you guessed it - - I don't care ! ! ! ! !

I add:

--"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem."

-- Ronald Reagan

I have another quote that I would like to add AND.......

"If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God,

Then we will be a nation gone under."

Also by... Ronald Reagan

Nice to know. I just copied what I had received. Thanks for the clarification!!

whoever that is, he/she is a a$$. So, you don't car about the Iraqis, only the Americans? Since when did the Iraqis not deserve respect? And all religons deserve respect. Did nobody ever teach you to respect each other's traditions and ways? Just because it was one islamic person doesen't mean every islamic person is bad.
So in all,
Yes, you shouldn't be cold and start to care about other people's lives that have been made much worse than yours. You are lucky compared to the thousands of childern, etc.. in Baghdad.

I don't see where it says he/she don't care about Iraqis.

Do you not see where he/she is directing that lack of respect towards the cowardly terrorists that blow up innocent children (including Iraqis)?

How about the "cowardly terrorists" that blow up innocent children by dropping bombs from airplanes? Why not the same "lack of respect" towards them?

cuz we don't aim for military installations we blow up malls, buss stations, markets and mosques basically as a country we want to kill as many people that are totally innocent as possible:rolleyes: just like suicide bombers...although saddam did put women and children into his military barracks in the first Iraq war knowing we would attack military installations that can hardly be construed as the same thing since thier "leader" forced them into harms way to protect his military installations, and it was not known that he did this unitl AFTER the bombs had been dropped

There have been plenty of civilian targets bombed by the US in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Here are just a few articles I turned up in about 3 minutes of doing a google search:

Iraq: Baghdad market blast kills 15

Children killed and maimed in bomb attack on town

U.S. bomb kills Afghan civilians

Coalition Strike in Afghanistan Kills 9 Children

yea once again we don't AIM for them we don't SEEK OUT civilian targets I am not saying that civilians don't get killed or injured in wars but on the other hand I doubt the US meant to drop a several thousand dollar smart bomb on Fred's house instead of a military installation

First of all, many times they don't target anything at all and they just drop bombs all over the place. They used cluster bombs quite a bit during 2003. All the Human Rights groups claimed this was a violation of the Geneva Convention, but as usual the Pentagon ignored these complaints.

Secondly, as I've said in other threads, most of the so called "terrorist" attacks in Iraq have been attacks on American military, Iraqi military, Iraqi police, and Iraqi government targets. They have not been civilian targets. But civilians have been killed.

More recently (in the last year) this infighting between Shiite and Sunni has begun and this has consisted of attacks on civilians, but prior to that, almost all the attacks were on legitimate targets.

Here are examples of what have been called "terrorist attacks", but which are on such targets:

Seven Iraqi Police Killed In Suicide Bomb Attack

3 Iraqi policemen killed in attack

Insurgents attack five sites, kill 17 Iraqi policemen

Car bomb attack on Iraqi police patrol kills

10 killed in suicide attack on Iraqi government buildings

Insurgents Attack Iraq's Interior Ministry

Iraqi base attack leaves 13 dead

Attack on US Iraq base kills 24

UK soldier dies in Iraq base attack

Attack on U.S.-Iraqi base kills at least 15

I could post hundreds of examples.
