Costco? Dominicks? Local grocery store?
Or do you mean restaurant? |
popeye's

At the local butcher. This is so common it should be no problem. Just head to your nearest upscale grocery. Look for free range

Perdue, Tyson, etc are what I usually buy at the grocery store. The main problem is that the chicken isn't tender enough when it comes time to grub. Maybe I'm not preparing it properly. Low heat, long cook, is usually the approach.

Do you have a George Foreman grill? I grill chicken on mine and it is very tender.
|
I have a Foreman, but never ever use it. Is it worth it?
|
Personally, I think chicken is one of the easiest foods to really F up. It can come out too dry, not tender, not cooked enough, extremely over cooked, etc. Foreman grill is a great kitchen tool... don't have one here, but have seen and read enough about it that i know it's worth it.
When it comes to chicken, prepare it right, make sure it is completely defrosted if previously frozen (frozen spots and ice tend to dry it out or make it less tender when cooking), and don't cook on too high of heat.... and buy Tyson to keep my stock up and job security :) |
