Wacky weather lately
 

I think the meterologists need to get on the ball. First they forecasted a minor snowstorm that never happened. Now they said "a few flurries/snow showers this afternoon" (now) and uh, it's been snowing for the last 4 hours, albeit not piling up. A check at weather.com tells me its currently "raining" in my area, and it's snowing. :rolleyes:

And then the weatherman on the radio said "Although its snowing a bit now, the temps are warm enough for the roads to stay just wet." While I was listening to that, the road I was driving on was covered in slushy white stuff.

Interesting weather though. I was at my community college at 2pm and there was a snow/sleet/rain mix. Then I drove 7-8 miles north and it was all snow. The visibility dropped to about 1/4mi pretty abruptly. Unfortunately, everyone on the highway panicked so I wisely choose the backroad on the way home.

Don't even get me started on this BS job disguised as a "science". Weathermen are useless, the only thing the "predict" happens in the next 10 minutes. They are usually 'near' the mark on temps, but that is it. They rarely ever get anything that is at all difficult to predict, correct. They are good at getting HUGE storms right because...well...they are HUGE. Just look at Fl at 3am this morning, they were warned 8 minutes in advance...at 3 in the morning, nice 'science'.


It says it is cloudy here and we've had snow since 2pm. At the beginning of the week they said 3-6" of snow Thu night, then it went down to 1-3", then this morning....streets were practically dry. Now, when it was suppose to be partly cloudy, it is snowing. I can't believe they have the audacity to call it a science. Reading a computer simulations prediction is not a science, it is reading a radar screen. You or I could do that.

it's been ultra cold here in chicago. Right now it's 8 degrees, and accuweather is showing a "real feel" of -17 degrees.. The HIGH temp for monday is a whopping 4 degrees.
Global Warming my a$$.

But remember, the ice caps are melting...we need to help :loco: haha.
