Holy crap!! :wow:

My X5 could tow that

Quicksilver 02-05-2007 09:00 PM

OOps my Bad. this is the Queen Mary 2. Bigger than the QE2 that was just here and without the health problems.

M_Six 02-05-2007 09:03 PM

Just watched a show about the building of that last night. I can safely say I'll never earn enough to take a cruise on it.

vinuneuro 02-05-2007 09:04 PM

Dunno if any of you caught..they had a special show on the creation/building of this thing on, I think, the Discovery Channel. Really is remarkable what we're capable of..

Good Lord.

Cool pics! That thing is massive! It'd be interesting to cruise on it someday. How much do tickets cost? I'm guessing it's a pretty penny.

Quicksilver 02-05-2007 09:11 PM

Check the post before yours. The most expensive i believe is $116,000 for an around the world thing. (Per person)

That thing is HUGE!!! I saw the QE2 in Bar Harbor last year, and you're right, it doesn't even come close to that behemoth.

noncom23 02-05-2007 10:29 PM

Sleek ship! Great pics.

xnsf 02-05-2007 10:32 PM

it arrived today?

AutoXer 02-06-2007 12:00 AM

Thanks Barry for the photos. I didn't get a chance to see it, but heard that it cleared the Golden Gate Bridge by only 30 feet. Must have been quite a sight.

I think so - the news had film of it passing under the Golden Gate. That'd been pretty crazy to be going over the bridge at that time! I'd have gotten in a wreck trying to rubberneck the QM2! :driver:

Thunder22 02-06-2007 12:32 AM

it dwarfs every other liner in NY harbor when it's here... absolutely HUGE.

Kewl X5 02-06-2007 12:39 AM

That is a huge ship!! Thanks for the great pics!!

PersonaNonGrata 02-06-2007 12:50 AM

Great pics! I saw the news coverage of it and almost as impressive was the number of boats out to get in her way. :tsk:

trueX5er 02-06-2007 01:03 AM

cool pics!
But it's no longer the largest ship. Royal Carribean decided they needed a bigger ship.(It's not as impressive, though) Who knows what they're thinking.
