I remember an incident from the gulf war where an Apache pilot blew up a friendly APC, he kept questioning whether it was friendly, but the ground commander kept telling him to shoot. Even though the pilot is ultimately responsible for firing his weapons, I think they feel a lot of pressure from the people on the ground. Of course, ocasionally pilots get trigger happy like the Canadian incident in Afghanistan.

Can't believe you guys being so quiet on this usually your into huge debates on anything to do with Iraq.
