GM changes "suicide" ad
 

The people from the Foundation for Suicide Prevention decided that GM's suicide robot ad (from the Super Bowl, it depicted a depressed robot leaping from a bridge) was a big no-no, so GM, after saying they would not change it, removed the jumping part. Even I knew that the ad would eventually be criticized.

I thought it was a good ad.

But other than the Vet and the Caddy Sedan (not a truck buyer) I don't know that anything else is worth buying. I think this is a sad statement given all the models they offer.

If watching a "fictional robot" have a "dream" of jumping off a bridge makes you kill yourself, then...well.......DO IT. Because you are worthless.

Sorry...I can't stand the PC BS society that requires this crap and these wuss companies that obied by it. I'm waiting for the first American Idol contestant who is kicked off and kills them self, then watching the family sue Fox for it, and watching the family WIN and American Idol gets canceled as a result.

Initially, the word was that GM wasn't going to change it. Then they meet with the wackos, and voila! Instant PC...

How utterly idiotic. We, as a society, can't even agree on what is humor anymore. Does a humorous commercial parodying death really trigger a suicide? I seriously doubt it.

I'm surprised no minority groups have come out against the very hilarious "Bood Light" commercial, my personal favorite.

The United Alliance of Signholders finds these smilies offensive, implying that we're too lazy to type our own responses. They feel these smilies should be removed or else we might all stop talking to each other and hold up signs to communicate instead.
