Transition to the E39

You guys were right about the switch from the E53 to the E39. I love how it feels like I'm driving my X5, only lower to the ground. But something that's completely different, the forums sites. This site was awesome for getting information and having conversations with other members. The sites you use for other BMW's like bimmerfest.com and bimmerforums.com are filled with pompous old people who enjoy trying to degrade people. Most of all, they don't understand the experience of having an X5. That's been the hardest adjustment so far, dealing with condescending BMW owners, not something you'd find on this site. Thanks again, great memories here!

The Founders, Mods. and Admins. here have made a conscious concerted effort not to act like those "other" sites. We try to discourage people from making "repost" remarks etc... We are not "unlike" those other sites by a fluke etc... :D That was a big reason for the creation of this site in the first place!!!!!!!!! That is why we are such a happy bunch here, and it also explains our explosive growth!!!

Exactly how I feel! Although I miss the X5, I'm real happy with my '03 530i. Too bad there's nothing quite like X5world for the E39...

The ToadFly E39 board used to be a great place in the early 2000s...a lot like X5World is and has been since day one, but ToadFly is like "Junior High School Deva Vu." The worst parts of it, at that. Ugh. X5World is my home on the web.

Yes I also had that type of attitude on another bimmer forum but I have found helping people too. The big difference I found between the other bimmer forums and X5WORLD is that I go to other forums for sharing information only while I come to X5world mainly for the friendship. We have to give credit to the members of course but mostly to the founders of this great site, UCrewX5 and DREX, who set up the rules and the good atmosphere since the very beginning:thumbup:

Only been here for a month (been lurking/stalking for about 4 months), and I can def. tell that this is the best place on the web for anything cars. Well, maybe not quite, so its the best place for BMW ;) atleast.
:D

I also had a '97 528i, it was my favorite car of all time! (sorry E53 :(, your are second) :D
