Another IT question re blackberrys
We have just expanded our office and installed a dedicated server and network with Microsoft Exchange 2003? running it all.
My carrier was quoting some $3k for the Enterprise server for Blackberry but I have found you can download it for free (one user) which I am trialling. Question 1 has anybody had experience setting up the BES on a server that can help me get the emails forwarded to my handheld/sync with outlook? Question 2 I have been using Thunderbird for my emails and I am told it will not receive as it cannot work with SMTP (as opposed to POP3) that Exchange uses. Has anyone found a way to do this? Question 3 It looks like I have to migrate from Thunderbird to Outlook (ggrrrr) and not ever having liked or used it I have no idea how to set it up (ie multiple inboxs for different email addresses/locations) and how to import emails and addresses. Question 4 Is anybody using Groupwise/ACT for their desk top PIM's? Thanks Cheers |
I use Thunderbird as a client for multiple accounts. One of them uses smtp..no problems.
