Where the hell is the EU (European Union) in regards to Iran holding foreign soldiers hostage? Now Iran threats to put them on trial.....

Talk about flexing muscle, seems the Europeans and Middle East countries feel compelled to simply let Iran take over their hemisphere.

I think Iran picked up the wrong countries soldiers. Apparently they attempted to get the US to release Iranians in Iraq for the release of the Brits. :confused:

Too poon I guess to grab US soldiers because they knew what would happen..... :) air strikes from Israel who is currently running tactical training on taking out under-ground nuclear facilities. Yikes.

Question: If you were Iran, what would you do to secure the release of the 5 Iranians being held hostage?

Ah, no, if that is something you want to discuss....post the topic. The Iranian, IMO were grabbed legally...in another country performing illegal ops.

Wouldn't "legally" mean the Iraqi government would have to approve their being "grabbed"?

Iraq wants Iranians freed

The Iraqi government called Sunday for the release of five Iranian officials accused by the U.S. military of being linked to an organization that provides weapons to Iraqi militants and supports violence against U.S. soldiers.

Kurdish legislators condemned the raid as "illegal." Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari defended the detainees -- members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's al-Quds Force -- as long-standing officials who provide outreach to Iranians in Iraq.

While the Iranians were not accredited diplomats, they worked in a well-known office approved by the Kurdish regional government that offers consular services and is on its way to becoming accredited as a formal consulate, Zebari said. A similar office exists in Sulaymaniyah, he said.

This isn't an issue where your wife needs to tell you something ten times before you register. This is an international incident where voicing their opinion just once should be enough.

To tell you the truth im surprised they even got that out before someone pointed a gun at them. LOL
