Guess the US has picked its side in the Civil War in Iraq...shouldn't be long now.

Funny how things turn out. First the Sunnis demand the US leave, and when they don't, they start the insurgency. Now the US agrees to leave if the Sunnis fight against Al-Queda. Sounds like the insurgents have won, at least in that provence.

We've also teamed up AGAIN with the Baath Party...funny, who belonged to that again????

Our leaders have no morals when it comes to this stuff. I'm convinced their only goal in Iraq is to keep the war going as long as possible so as much money can be made off it, until the public finally forces them to put an end to it. Until then, they're going to keep changing strategies, keep switching sides, etc. The end result of all these "new" strategies they are taking this year will be to keep the status quo. A year from now, nothing will have changed, except we (American taxpayers) will be a few hundred billion dollars poorer, and the military contractors will be a few hundred billion dollars richer.

My prediction is this "war" and by "war" I mean Civil War will be over in the next 10 months. With or without 'troop reductions and timetables'.

The hold up was the US trying to play the middle ground and not pick a side. Luckily for the leaders involved the US attention span is so small they don't remember that Saddam was in the Baath Party.
