It's not about looking important ( as a matter of fact, I don't really give a crap how I look), it's about getting business done. Those don't do what we do won't understand..

Here's a great example of a valid reason for using a headset. But, I'm guessing that SANguru doesn't walk around the grocery store at 9 am on a Sunday morning with it stuck in his ear with nobody to talk to, though. While wearing a coat over his pajamas (yes, I have, much to my dismay, been witness to such a sight. More than once)

One of my best friends is a truck driver, and I told him last year to go buy a bluetooth headset. Truck drivers are unable to function unless their lips are moving; they are usually steering, shifting, talking on the CB, talking on a cell phone and trying to drink Mountain Dew, all at the same time. He was obviously having trouble holding cell phone while doing everything else. So he bought the headset, and it works great for while he's in the truck. But he doesn't ever wear it outside the truck. Because he knows that he looks like an idiot if he is standing in line at the convenience store buying more Mountain Dew with the headset stuck in his ear.
Ok, I'm done with my .

As a person that travels constantly and lives striclty on a cellphone (no point in having a home line if you are never home) I have had my fair share of differnet BTH but why people decide to wear them all the damn time is beyond me...the other thing that drives me nuts is the person that has to turn on thier phone and make a call as soon as a plane lands...just to tell someone they have landed but are not off the plane yet...it makes me want to start firebombing people.

i love trigger happy...i wonder why they're not on anymore...

i guess people do find it convenient that their headset is located on their ear. but it's really annoying when people think the other person on the line cannot hear them and yells into the damn thing...

I think Ya'll is a bit too critical.

I don't walk around wearing my BT headset all day. But I certainley do use it when it's convienent. I have a reoccuring pinched nerve in my upper back, with pain that shoots down my right arm.
So yes, sometimes I use my headset instead of holding the calculator up to my head. It's more comfortable..
For those of you that think I look like a dork, you can very politely pucker up and kiss my A**, cause, I care less what you think.
I also wear a headset, in my office so I don't have to keep my neck crimped to hold the phone up. Does that bother ya'll too?
And, I also clip my phone to my denim front pocket and keep it in a case. So :nanana:

btw, all those of you that still wear gold, chains of any sort, a suit, those stupid sandles with the holes meant for gardening, kakhis, polo, izod, etc. You all look like dorks to me... So haha..
