Drunk Drivers....
 

:damn:......driving home tonight in the X I was following an old Odsmobile Cutlass....I was behind it merging onto the freeway, and it was acting kind of weird. I was turning onto the express lanes, and all of the sudden it swerved and got on behind me. I thought something was wrong, so I let it pass. A few miles later, after it had speed ahead of me, I came up to it again, this time it was going much slower and was slowly weaving between the two express lanes. I knew it was probably a drunk driver. Uh Oh. I speed up to write down the plate, and it weaved some more, and almost hit me. I go back a little bit, put on my hazard lights, and block the two lanes behind him so nobody would try to pass him while he was weaving. So I write the plate, and decide to call up the IL State Police. I give them the plate and make and model, and they said they'll send out a unit. I doubt they will find them, but as I carefully passed I saw 4 young people in the car. :damn:. Hope they learn a lesson, and to call a cab next time.

The rest of the freeway trip was enjoiable though, because I later pulled up to a nice silver E53 4.4i, and we drove neck and neck for maybe a quarter mile, ocassionally checking out each other's ride. :D I then accelerated away, and thought I left him in the dust, but no, he decided to get into my lane and accelerate up to me. It was fun. I love that kind of connection between two total strangers, we have something very similar in common yet we have no idea who each other are. It put a :) on my face.

Good that you called it in. Hopefully they were caught and taken off the road before they hurt or killed someone.

glad you are okay, and had good common sense to block traffic from the drunk driver. i think as long as you give the troopers the license plate, they will look into the situation
