Which Browser do you use?

Any Firefox users out there? I've been using it for @2 months - works for 95% of what I need - and no spyware gets dropped onto my PC.

Just curious what people are using out there...

I started using Firefox until I realized it wouldn't let me access my online banking, etc., so I got tired of it.

I use IE. But when I go to a site with allot of pop-ups I must use Firefox.

UCrewX5 03-02-2005 11:32 PM

I use Firefox 95% of the time.

twm67 03-02-2005 11:33 PM

I've had Firefox for about a week now and I really like it!

JCX5 03-02-2005 11:33 PM

Surprised...

If I remember correctly, Firefox does not do 'ActiveX'. Most financial institutions do not use ActiveX for security reasons. But then again, the 'employee portal' for the company I work for uses it (big financial institution) - which means I still keep IE around to connect to work. For everything else, I use Firefox - seems a bit quicker to me as well.

I use FireFox 99% of the time. It works great, even for financial and stock trading sites. No problems here. I only use IE to run Windows update.

Plus I love tabbed browsing and the ability to open a folder of bookmarks at once. Takes up less system resources than IE too.

Safari, baby!

Though I do like (and occasionally use) FireFox.

Firefox 99% of the time. Hey, there's a new version of Firefox 1.0.1.

MrAirbags 03-03-2005 01:29 AM

IE for me....

Quicksilver 03-03-2005 03:17 AM

Safari about 80% because of lots of Bookmarks. Firefox 20% and switching over little by little. It's much faster with everything including financial institutions.

ricky.agrawal 03-03-2005 03:22 AM

IE because only I use these computers.

Firefox only is installed on the ones dad and mom use.

CGSTL 03-03-2005 03:25 AM

PC Noob Q: Why Firefox or Safari over IE?

ricky.agrawal 03-03-2005 03:44 AM

If you go to 'bad' sides, IE will get infected on an unbelievable level.

We use Firefox 100% in our office. I have banned IE on all our computers and have no problems accessing all our banking sites and their pop ups.

LCC 03-03-2005 05:30 AM

Firefox. 99.9% of the time. Only use IE on sites where Firefox doest not have available plugins.

I've used both NES 7.2 and FireFox. Both can limit a TON of the piggy-back crap that the shitty porn, I mean WEB, sites like to drop on your puter.

If you do run IE then: www.doxdesk.com Bookmark it because you will eventually need it.

TeX5 03-03-2005 05:23 PM

99% Firefox
