Chubb - that's the one my parents have. Dad said they are expensive but he got tired of being jerked around on claims with other companies.

U must have forseen my dilemma ;-)

Slim pickins on carriers that would cover me right now so I may just stay with SF ....almost every broker/agent I have spoken with asked if I was inquiring because they were dropping me...

I'm .3 miles away from the water, and not a single carrier is dealing...

All have said it's all due to Allstate, the the purported rumors on the 100 year floods. It's been quite a week of phonecalls.

Now there is an oxymoron!
An insurance company is in business to NOT pay out anything at all if they can help it. And if they do pay out, they just jack your rates so they can recoup as much money as they can from you.

Its just legalized stealing. :rofl::rofl:

It's a tough situaiton right now. Call my cousin, I think I pm'd you his # awhile ago. He might be able to get you into Metlife if you give him your homeowners and auto.

good luck

It's really ironic because the insurace business is rather cyclical, and the insurance companies are just coming off a peak in the cycle. You would think they would want to write policies.

100 year flood? I wonder what actuary came up with that. We had a hell of a lot of rain with that storm in Oct of '05.
